About Ferguson

This clinic has been named after Homer Ferguson, who was my coach, friend, and long time mentor who passed away in 2004. He instilled in me his passion for the game while providing me with not only basketball skills but life lessons. From him I learned to endure, build strength both physical and that of character and to take pride in my membership on a team. Our clinics and work are based in the philosophy that we are not just training athletes but to help each player to be mentally and physically tough while offering skills that could be used on and off the court.

As described in our informational flyer, our model is that players who work hard will be able to play hard. We set the bar high in order for your son to reach his maximum potential. We also expect that your son put forth 100% during each session. We are going to focus on getting your child in his best physical condition while further developing basketball playing skills. The clinic is about sharpening skills, techniques, and basketball IQ.

All individual clinics will be coordinated and scheduled with families. We are planning to use a variety of facilities including outdoor courts to meet the needs of the each individual player. The goal for the off season workout is to increase your child’s strength, overall skills and prepare him for a successful sports season.
